Leaf and Limb Pick Up - May 30, 2017 and November 27, 2017


This service is provided by the City twice a year in residential areas.  
    *City crews will make a one time pass and all items should be curbside on the day pick up begins.
    *Leaves and grass clippings must be in plastic bags. 
    *Bagged items must be placed in a separate pile from loose debris to help avoid bag breakage.
    *Limbs must be cut 15' or less in length.
    *Limbs must be parallel to the curb and not obstructed by vehicles.
            Obstructed piles will not be picked up.


City Wide Clean Up - June 10, 2017


Nisly Brothers Inc. will be making a one time pass through residential areas.  All unwanted items must be curbside before 7:00 a.m.  Put trash in throwaway containers such as boxes or bags.  No loose piles of trash!  No box or bag may exceed 40 pounds in weight.
    *Items accepted
        *Boxes
        *Household clean up
        *Junk furniture
        *Mattresses
        *Other bulky items
        *Appliances and other small metal items (freon okay)
        *Car batteries
The clean up does not include the following items.
        *Business trash
        *Construction trash (plaster, drywall, roofing materials, etc.)
        *Concrete
        *Tires
        *Household hazardous trash (paint, cleaners, chemicals, etc.)

City Wide Shred Day - June 10, 2017


The Halstead Bank and the City of Halstead co-sponsor a free shredding event.  Bring in your old files and they will be shredded and then recycled.  This service will be held at 314 Main.
