• Golf Carts must be annually registered with the city.

• Golf Carts are required to have a slow moving vehicle emblem, & side-view or rear-view mirror.

  • Lights & reflectors are required to operate golf carts after sunset.

• Golf Carts may only be operated by individuals with a valid driver's license recognized in the State of Kansas

• Golf Carts can not be operated on the following streets:

  • Halstead Road (HV County 801)

  • Industrial Road

  • McNair Street (HV County 803) south of 6th Street

• Go-carts, dirt bikes, ATV's, UTV's and side-by-sides are strictly prohibited in city limits.

1. Halstead Police Department Inspection

   • Print out the Golf Cart Registration Form. Drive your golf cart to the Halstead Police Department and have them do the golf cart inspection, fill out the form & sign.

2. Halstead City Hall

   • Bring the Registration Form , & proof of insurance to Halstead City Hall.

   • Inspection Fee: $25

   • Registration Fee: $50

*Cart must be the same one that was previously registered, new carts must complete the initial registration

• Bring the Renewal Registration Form & proof of insurance to Halstead City Hall.

  • Renewal Registration Fee: $50
