How Do I
This service is provided by the City twice a year in residential areas.
Leaves and grass clippings must be in plastic bags.
Limbs must be cut 14' or less in length.
Limbs must be parallel to the curb and not obstructed by vehicles.
Bagged items must be placed in a separate pile from loose debris.
NO treated wood or fence panels!
The Halstead Bank & The City of Halstead co-sponsor a
FREE shredding event!
Bring in your old files and they will be shredded & recycled.
This service will be held at 314 Main in front of the Main Halstead Bank
Location & Hours
- The burn site is located near the Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Open from dawn to dusk
Materials Accepted
- Only twigs, brush and yard waste are accepted.
- NO fence panels or treated wood!
Rules & Requirements
- Proof of residency is required.
Harvey County Solid Waste strives to provide economically and environmentally-respectful resources for disposing of waste materials. We continuously look for and examine alternative disposal methods to create a more sustainable Harvey County, for now and for the future. Our goal is to divert as much waste from the landfill stream as economically feasible.
