Get ready, Halstead! Trash Pick-up is tomorrow - don't forget to roll out your carts to the curb by 6am Thursday!
Starting tomorrow and over the next few weeks South Central Sealing will be doing work in the highlighted areas on the map. If your residence will be effected you will receive a door hanger like the one shown with more information. South Central Sealing will make every effort to accommodate residents during Thursday trash and recycling collection. Work will be completed one half of the street at a time. If construction impacts a resident’s pickup, crews will relocate receptacles to the opposite side of the street to ensure they remain accessible for collection by Nisly Brothers.

Interested in hunting or need your certification? A Kansas Hunter Education class will be held March 27–28, 2026 in the Halstead City Council Chambers.
This traditional course is taught by Organizing Instructor, Joshua Crowe, and covers firearm safety, hunter responsibility and ethics, wildlife conservation, hunting regulations, and more. The class includes classroom instruction and students may live fire and/or go through simulated hunting conditions.

Sidewalk improvements along 6th Street from Cedar Drive to Halstead Road will begin Monday, March 16.
