Evergy has hired Progressive Solutions LLC to selectively treat tall growing brush in the right-of-way easements across Halstead. There was an informational post card sent out to residents. This small male white dog was found on McNair Street Sunday. Dog was turned over to the Halstead Police Department and was then taken and released to Caring Hands Humane Society. Contact the Halstead Police Department for instructions on how to be reunited with your pet. 316-835-2286 Option 2.
Due to the weather pattern we are currently experiencing, the Halstead Swimming Pool opening will be delayed. Once the factors of air temperature AND water temperature reach an acceptable level, we will open for the season. We look forward to hosting you soon, but please watch City of Halstead social media for updates throughout the week.

On Monday, May 26th the Legionnaires could use some volunteers to help set up the Avenue of Flags at the Halstead Cemetery at 6:00am and take the flags down at 5:00pm at Halstead Cemetery. Please consider helping the Veterans if you are able.
